Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age when the course commences
• Have completed Australian Year 12 or an equivalent qualification
• Have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent
• Have suitable language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills
• Successfully complete ACE’s LLND assessment
• Have the physical ability to participate in practical workshop activities and manual handling

Additional learning or English-language support may be recommended where required.

ACE provides access to computers, timber materials, industry-standard tools, machinery and practical training resources.

Students must follow all workshop safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during practical training.

Training is delivered through:

Students gain supervised experience in measuring, cutting, assembling, installing and finishing joinery components.

Students must demonstrate competency in all required units to receive the qualification.
